STAKES vampire book update

I'm currently working on STAKES, a sort of vampire All In The Family-horror-adventure book, with writer Todd Jones.  Here's a promo image we've released:

STAKES is designed to be serialized and ongoing, and will be a standard comic book sized format in full color. Todd and I will secure a publisher soon for this book and I'll post info here. I'll also post some of the pages soon...check back!

Here is the lovely, and long overdue, full-color collection of Death paintings by Felipe Echevarria. This work holds some of the best paintings of the popular Sandman comics character that Felipe did from 1993-2009. The works are gathered from commissions, convention sketches, and style experiments for future projects. Will be a strong collector's item.

ANKH is limited to 800 copies, all signed and numbered, and the first 60 have an original sketch inserted by the artist.

I'll be in the Artist Alley in the New York Comic Con October 8-10. Good things are coming up! Stop by-- see the latest. I'll be there with writer Todd Jones promoting our upcoming vampire/detective book!

Had to bail from Alternative Press Expo in San Francisco, maybe next year. Possible WonderCon in San Francisco in April 2011, though, I'll update here.

San Diego 2010 con pic...sure I look bored, but I was usually extremely busy--talking, signing, drawing, selling--barely had time to eat!

I'll be in the Artist Alley in the San Diego Comic Con this year! I haven't been in the alley since 1996. 


I will also be doing a How-To Session on Thursday (July 22) at 3-4:30pm in Room 18 on mixing color for artists. If you struggle with color-mixing, you must attend this session. I am a registered teacher with Michael Wilcox's School Of Color and this is by far the most profound breakthrough in color-mixing self-sufficiency ever created. I will speak and demonstrate for 90 minutes and you will love it! (And it's free).

While you're there, please also stop by my table and browse a portfolio of original art, and see the new SPEARWOMEN sketchbook, which will be available for signing at the con.
